Cruise To Remember 2015

Blue water, blue skies, and great companions provided yet another memorable experience aboard “The Last Hurrah” for our fifth Cruise to Remember benefit. So many of our loyal supporters look forward to this event each year. It is truly a wonderful day as we cruise through the Huntington Harbor and up to Long Beach and the Port of LA. We were excited to welcome members from the Free Bob Foundation this year. Similar to Betty’s Foundation, the Free Bob Foundation is organized by young adults who recognize

the importance to act now to make a difference. They emphasize the effects Alzheimer’s and Dementia have on those with the disease, but especially the family caregivers and those

close to them. Donations, silent auction items, and raffle tickets contributed to another successful event that raised nearly $6,000 for research. None of this would be possible without the generosity of the Meadows family for providing the boat and the organization efforts of Jeff and Trish Janis. Additionally we would like to especially thank Kunal Shah and PBS Engineers Inc. for donating the catering. And we can’t forget Captain Shawn for keeping us on course!
